These lovely ladies were the guest speakers at Designer Fund's Women in Design: Voice and Risk event. They revealed their tips and tricks that help them cut through the noise and distractions of our everyday lives and allow them be the best designers they can be.

Anisha Jain strongly believes that everyone has at least one design superpower. It's that special something you bring to the table. Here are two tips she urges all designers out there to try!

  1. Keep a notebook and pen with you throughout the day. Jot down all of your activities and next to them, write down how they make you feel. This exercise will help you recognize which actions you find rewarding and which you find draining. Practice doing more of what leaves you feeling rewarded and less of what drains you!
  2. One can spend a great amount of time finding out what they do best and polishing up these skills to perfection. While this isn't a bad a thing, Jain believes owning up to your weaknesses and sharing with the group where you won't be much help can be beneficial. This way they can assign you to tasks you'll strive in.
